Catholic Bishop of Sokoto; Matthew Kukah, Emir of Kano; Lamido Muhammad Sanusi, Archbishop of Canterbury; Justin Welby and others at the international & interreligious peace conference in Assisi, Italy.

The World Day of Prayer for Peace concludes a 3-day event organized by the Sant’Egidio Community entitled this year “Thirst for Peace. Religions and Cultures in Dialogue”.


More than 450 religious leaders of different faith gathered to pray for peace and strengthen dialogue in the spirit of Assisi.
