Mu’azu Leads PDP Delegation To Beg Ikimi To Join Ruling Party

Some national leaders of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party met with a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Tom Ikimi at his Abuja residence on Friday night, with the sole purpose of convincing him to join the party The PDP delegation, which was led by the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, included the Chairman, PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Aneni. It would be recalled that Ikimi resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday after He was not elected as the national chairman of the opposition party during its maiden national convention in June. It was learnt that the political sojourner told the PDP delegation that he was ready to bring value to the ruling party and that he was ready to serve at any level.

Ogun: Osoba’s My Leader, I’m Not In Competition With Him, Says Amosun

Ahead of the 2015 general election, Governor  Ibikunle Amosun  of Ogun State, on Friday said he would do everything within his power to settle the rift between him and a former governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba. He also appealed to the elders and people of  Ogun   State to help him beg the ex–governor for forgiveness if h Amosun said he is neither in “competition with Osoba” whom he called his “leader” or anybody, adding that he would continue to accord him utmost respect that he deserves.The Governor, who spoke during a live programme of the Abeokuta – based Rock-City 101.9  FM radio station, said the office of governor is temporary, adding that he has come to develop the state and then leave a legacy that would outlive him.
