Hurray! Twitter Is 10

Twitter entered the world ten years ago, on March 21st, 2006. Since then, it's gone public and amassed over 300 million active users. This morning it sent out a 140-character thank you note. The two-and-a-half minute ad takes the form of a thank you note penned to its users around the world, and it succinctly covers what makes Twitter unique. Much of the spot focuses on Twitter's utility as a breaking news platform, with clips from events like 2011's Arab Spring and the tsunami that devastated Japan that same year. Social activism is also highlighted by movements like #BringBackOurGirls, #blacklivesmatter, and #LoveWins. Of course, there's also a section dedicated to viral videos and GIFs that spread across Twitter like wildfire. Notably, the entire thank you note is squeezed into a 140-character tweet. The author even pushes past the limit intially, before making an emoji tweak to fit into the character count. As Twitter's witnessed lots of change...

It seemed like the world was going to end when it was revealed that Olori Wuraola was going to wed the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. Scandalous reports and pictures about her past suddenly emerged from nowhere but despite that, Wuraola's dream royal wedding to the Ooni happened and the newly married couple have already stepped out for their duties together. Dele Momodu's media outfit, Ovation TV got to chat with Olori Wuraola on her wedding day and they have released a video of her explaining how excited she was becoming the Ooni's wife and how their wedding day was a divine day and their marriage was destined to be. Multi-talented entertainer NoMoreLoss has died...

Multi-talented Nigerian singer/comedian, Olumuyiwa Osinuga popularly known as Nomoreloss has died. LIB reached out to his sister in-law, Dammy Osinuga, who confirmed he died this morning from an undisclosed ailment at a hospital in Opebi, Lagos. She said he has been ill since January this year. Many of his colleagues don't even know about his death. What a sad loss! He's survived by a daughter and was just in his late 30s. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
