President Jonathan was in Minna , Niger State today to visit Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, a former military head of state who returned not too long ago from a medical trip abroad. The president was accompanied by the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.); his Chief of Staff, Brid.-Gen. Jones Arogbofa (rtd.); Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Muhammed; and the Director-General of his campaign team, Ahmadu Ali. They all met behind closed-door with the general at his Hilltop Mansion. Shortly after the meeting, the president told journalists that he was in Minna to greet “his father” who recently returned to the country from a medical trip abroad. Babangida also told journalists that all Nigerians should vote for Jonathan because he means well for the country.
