DEPUTY Governor of Ogun State, Prince Segun Adesegun Thursday announced his intention to contest the state's governorship election next year. Adesegun, who until a couple of months ago was the state's number two man under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) disclosed that he would contest the election under the platform of the Social  Democratic Party  (SDP). Under Obasanjo, insurgency was crushed in 3 weeks – Atiku December 4, 2014 Premium Times Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has spoken of how a budding insurgent group that could have turned deadly like Boko Haram, was crushed within three weeks by the Obasanjo administration, which he served as deputy for eight years. Addressing Catholic Bishops Thursday in Abuja, Mr. Abubakar said the administration responded swiftly leaving many Nigerians with little or no memory of the effort.
