Jonathan’s closed-door meeting with Obasanjo clearly failed to soften the former leader’s hostility towards his floundering re-election bid as Obasanjo bluntly told him that having referred to elders as a “touts”, it was hypocritical for Jonathan to turn around to describe him (Obasanjo) as the best president Nigeria ever had. Muhammad Ali is back in hospital a week after being discharged. The boxing legend has been admitted to the ICU after guests staying at his home in Arizona, in the US, failed to wake him up. Ali, who turns 73 on Saturday, recently received treatment for a severe urinary tract infection. A source told US website Radar Online: “He wasn’t responding. “He went to bed Tuesday night, but didn’t wake up in the afternoon or evening the next day. He was sleeping for 24 hours.” “They thought he might be too exhausted,” the source added. The three-time former world heavyweight champion was released from hospital on January 7 after a two week stay with what was thought to be pneumonia. Doctors later diagnosed him with a urinary tract infection. Ali, who is also an Olympic gold medallist, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the 1980s.
