Nigerian academic Dr. Opeyemi Enoch has solved a maths problem, which has gone more than 150 years without a solution. The Riemann Hypothesis was first proposed by Bernhard Riemann in 1859. The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali, on Monday named six Deputy Comptrollers-General and eight Assistant Comptrollers-General of Customs as part of the on-going re-organisation in the Service. The spokesperson of the service, Wale Adeniyi, said the new appointees, who would function in acting capacities, would replace the top officials that either resigned or retired last week. The Comptroller-General said the appointments are with immediate effect. He also urged them to redouble their efforts to justify their new responsibilities.

China has unveiled its first-ever passenger jet built and designed by the country. The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC), which is China's owned aviation manufacturer, unveiled the first C919 aircraft at its factory in Shanghai yesterday November 2nd. The single-aisle narrow-body jet is designed to seat 168 passengers, and has a standard flight range of 2,532 miles (4,075 kilometres), which means the aircraft can fly non-stop from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur or from New York City to Los Angeles.
