Revisiting The Case Of Bola Ige Will Show I’m Innocent- Omisore

Following the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari to the new acting IGP asking him to re-open the case of a slain former Attorney General of the Federation, Bola Ige, former deputy governor of Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, who is presently at EFCC’s custody says he is happy about the President’s order, saying the new investigation will sure vindicate him and show his hands are clean. It will be recalled that Omisore was a key suspect in the case years back and was detained for months as the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo made efforts to find the killers. In a statement by his media aide, Diran Odeyemi, today, Mr. Omisore described the decision of the Federal Government to revisit the killing of the former Minister of Justice and Dikibo as a good and a welcome development. Founder and chancellor, Landmark University, Omu Aran, Kwara state, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said that poverty among black men was a product of unused brain and capacity to think solution. The clergy man noted that what African nations needed for sustainable growth and development is a generation of indigenous solutions, particularly in field of agriculture. Bishop Oyedepo spoke at the third convocation ceremony of the agric-oriented university in Omuaran at the weekend. A total number of 51 graduates bagged First Class grade, 233 had second class upper grade, 229 secured second class lower grade, while 19 were in Third Class division out of a grand total of 532 graduating students in the third convocation ceremony. Chelsea signs France midfielder Kante from Leicester City for £30m

N'Golo Kante, one of the instrumental players in Leicester City's Premier League title win has been signed by Chelsea for £30m on a 5 year deal. The 25 year old France midfielder follows the arrival of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille. Kante speaking to Chelseafc.com said: ‘I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Babatunde Fashola gives conditions for stable power supply in Nigeria

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has stated the conditions that must be met for Nigerians to enjoy uninterrupted electricity supply. The minister, who spoke to journalists in Kaduna at the end of the second edition of the National Council on Power on Thursday, said unless hoodlums stopped vandalising gas pipelines, the epileptic power supply would persist. Stable electricity, according to him, will only be achievable when contractors execute power contracts properly. Fashola noted that host communities of electricity assets must also understand that they must make sacrifices so that the nation could benefit. This is just as the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, called for proper restructuring of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission to ensure viable power supply in the country.
