Walid Jubril, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Board of Trustees [BOT], has said the party leaders are ready to visit and sympathise with President Muhammadu Buhari in London. Jubril, who denied that the party promoted the rumoured death of the President, said that the PDP was rather praying fervently for Buhari’s safe return to Nigeria. “Let him be well and come back and continue with his leadership of Nigeria. If we are to be given the opportunity, the PDP leaders will even go to London to wish him well and sympathize with his family,” he said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria [NAN] in Kaduna.

Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi yesterday, Monday, 23rd of Jan., 2016 signed into laws, the state’s Administration of Criminal Justice Bill, 2016, and Violence Against Women Bill, 2016. The governor signed the two bills after the state executive council meeting. He told newsmen after the assent that the laws would enhance justice in his administration. “Our own government is a law-abiding one,” he said.

Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Ibogun-Olaogun country home at Coker/Ibogun Local Council Development Area, Ogun State. It was gathered that Jonathan arrived the village where Obasanjo was born around noon and both former presidents held a closed-door meeting which lasted for about one hour. After the  meeting , Obasanjo took him on a tour of the village before coming back to his compound. When approached by journalists for information about the visit, Jonathan declined to comment.
