The 2016 edition of the annual award show that honors the best in popular culture was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Jan. 6, and was hosted by Jane Lynch. Broadcast live on CBS, celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock were part of this year's event. More than 72 million votes were cast by fans to determine the nominees, and fans ultimately picked the winners
