Lionel Messi Comes Out Of Retirement, Will Play For Argentina Again

Lionel Messi has come out of international retirement and will play for Argentina again. The FC Barcelona forward, 29, announced his international retirement in June after Argentina's penalty shootout loss to Chile in the Copa America final.

However, Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has made a U-turn.

Messi is said to have agreed to return to national team duty after meeting new Argentina manager Edgardo Bauza in Barcelona last weekend.

The newspaper also reports that Messi has stated his intention to play in his country's World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Venezuela later this year.
