In line with the succor which the federal, state, local government and other humanitarian service organizations render to the internally displaced persons IDPs, who have been highly affected by the activities of the terrorist group, Boko Haram especially from the northern part of Nigeria, the reigning Miss Confluence Fiesta Queen, Kogi State - an entrepreneur, skills acquisition advocate, a motivational speaker and Chief Executive Officer of Dainty Identity Limited, Her Majesty Queen Bleeding 11qqqq1àaà11Q11qq Achenyo Alfa decided to contribute her own quota.
At random, 300 internally displaced persons children were selected by Amb.Dr Marcel Ezenwoye and Mr Ben Onwudinjo (Scholarship) to be trained on skills acquisition by Queen Blessing Alfa.
The training which include bead making, shoe making, liquid soap, air freshener, fashion design, ICT and many more along side scholarship offered by CONCEPTS SCHOOLS(Amb.Dr Marcel Ezenwoye) and E-PRAXIS CATHOLIC SCHOOL(Mr Ben Onwudinjo).
She addressed the children after their breakfast on Tuesday January10th at Concepts School Gwarimpa on the importance of Skill Acquisition and the need to take the training seriously as it would go a long way to helping them become self-reliant and useful in the society contributing to National building and development.
She passionately expressed herself that amongst these children are future presidents, medical doctors, lawyers, politicians, businessmen etc and all they need is encouragement and support.
The most exciting part of this project is that, during the camping and training, there shall be trade fairs where the products made by the participants will be displayed to the general public in order to promote made in Nigeria products and also launching the NaijaGotSkillz project by Queen Blessing Achenyo Alfa..A skill hunt project. This will give opportunity to the general public to get access to what the participants have been trained on and also for the participants products to be showcased, promoted and marketed.
Queen Blessing who was recently made the brand ambassador for AFROCARIBE (African-Carribean) an international magazine based in Canada urges well meaning Nigerians both at home and in diaspora to support the IDP children as they are now in Gwarimpa, Concepts School for the scholarship program in order to make the project a successful one.
