YPP OGUN STATE DISTANCES SELF FROM THE REPORTED CLAIM OF ADOPTING AKINLADE AS GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE

The Leadership of the Young Progressive Party in Ogun state wishes to inform all her members and the general public at large of a misleading claim by the MC at the flag off of APM gubernatorial campaign ground claiming that 60 political parties have endorsed Adekunle Akinlade in which YPP was mentioned among the list. IPAC chairman also said that IPAC was invited as a body with her members. YPP Ogun is using this medium to call on her members and supporters to disregard this false claim as the party is not in any of such agreement with APM or any other political party.

We are deeply shocked and devastated  over this false claim in an open rally and couldn't believe a political party could go this extra mile to play politics of bitterness and desperation. We distance ourselves from such unguarded claim as we remain focus on the vision of our party for the state. The party in the state only honoured the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) meeting in the state and never being in agreement with any party on adopting Hon. Adekunle Akinlade as gubernatorial candidate. This is an height of desperation by APM and her candidate which we believe was just an effort in futility as it cannot stand the test of time.

We wish to state clearly our commitment to the coming election that YPP Ogun state is fully prepared to win the state

gubernatorial race as we build a new Ogun state. The journey to a new era in Ogun state has already commenced and we are sure of victory as the people of Ogun state are truly with YPP which is our strength. No amount of blackmail or false intimidation can change our stand on this as we remain resolute in our vision.

We hereby use this medium to call on the good people of Ogun state once again to disregard this gimmick by the APM and her candidate and remain faithful with YPP for a new era come 2019. We implore you all to use your PVC wisely to vote YPP in the coming gubernatorial election in the state.
