A new wave of politics is taking place within the Young Progressive Party (YPP) Ogun State as they welcome the new chairman with open mind and high hopes of a greater YPP, in his welcome address, Hon. Asiwaju Abdulateef Ademola Adesina, assured the party faithful of all inclusive era and he also promised to build on the legacy of the outgoing Chairman, Prince Tolu Ajayi, who is now going to work with him as the State Security.
Good day my party men and women. It is my pleasure addressing you all this day as the State Chairman of our great party in Ogun State. I know history is already made today as I present myself to you as the new Chairman of YPP Ogun State. Am pleased to meet you all and as well appreciate the inestimable sacrifices you have all put together in keeping Ogun State YPP as the forefront of political landscape in our dear state.
Standing before you today as the chairman is not to dismantle or rubbish the good structures put in place by my predecessor Prince Tolu Ajayi but to build and consolidate on his successes and good work so far and also to bring in my personal experiences in taking the party to a more enviable height to the admiration of all. To this end, I recognize and appreciate the exemplary leadership quality displayed by Prince Tolu Ajayi in working with me as the new Secretary of the party. May God continue to bless and lift you higher in your political journey as this shall be your stepping stone in your higher political career.
My fellow compatriots, I have come not to lord over YPP Ogun State but to work with you as a formidable team in taking over Ogun state politically as the ruling party come 2023. I will ensure I put in place structures that will project our party positively.

Among other things, my first shot is to ensure our party State Secretariat is ready and functioning properly and efficiently in no time. I will ensure the flag of YPP fly across the 20 local government of the state, meaning every local government shall have a party secretariat. This also goes to our senatorial structures.
It is my duty as the Chairman to ensure that all party men and women enjoy same privilege without any act of favoritism. This means that all party members are equal according to our party constitution.
According to the details of the handover note delivered to me by Prince Tolu Ajayi, I discovered that YPP Ogun State has carried out many programs and functions in the past which are very laudable and commendable. To this end, I promise that we are about to witness the beginning of a very good phase in Ogun State YPP as I will make it a duty that many of such activities shall begins to come in very soon. Also, YPP Ogun State shall begin to engage more in empowerment programs and policies for the betterment of all members.
Having realised that YPP Ogun State has done some newspaper publications in the past and press conference, I shall carry on with this by making sure that our party continues to be in the limelight political in several available news media. Without any iota of doubt, this is the beginning of a new YPP in Ogun State.
Dear compatriots, I have come to give YPP a leadership in a way that our party shall be a reference in the political destiny of Ogun state. I have come to serve our party with sincerity of purpose. I have come to offer the much needed paradigm shift needed to turn around the political destiny of our state.
*If is in view of this that I seek your collective support and the quest to join me as a team in bringing this YPP of our dream to reality*. Remember that you have been nursing YPP as a baby and the time is here to see her grow and mature to the admiration of all citizens and residence of our state.
As we know that YPP stands for service delivery, I hereby promise Ogun State YPP quality service delivery to our entire people of Ogun State. I believe that by 2023, YPP shall be the only choice of the people of Ogun state.
