It is no doubt that the race for 2023 presidency has already begun and the Southwest is not left out as expected. Knowing fully well that Southwest is an interested region in the coming 2023 politics, a reliable source has confirmed the readiness of the acceptance and endorsement of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State as the choice of body of opposition political parties IPAC in the geopolitical zone. This according to the source has generated heated political attention from political bigwigs in the Southwest and made possible by the Director General Policy and Strategy, Bar Moses Okezie who has made incursion into the body of opposition Political parties known as Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC). IPAC being the highest political body in the country won't have made a wrong decision in it plan endorsement of Governor Yahaya Bello considering the level of high profile personalities across board that make up the body especially the Southwest geopolitical zone led by the most qualified, charismatic and competence Chairman, Comrade Gentleman Arabambi Abayomi Oluwafemi.
According to information gathered by the source through independent investigation into the political space of the Southwest IPAC, it was confirmed that the Southwest leadership of IPAC are ready to formally demand and compel the Governor of Kogi State ,His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello to run for the highest office in Nigeria come 2023 and then cap it up with a formal endorsement. This they intend doing against political differences noting that 2023 is not a time to be political but patriotic. The body noted that Nigeria at this critical time needs and deserves a president who is bold, truthful, courageous, detribalised, energetic and above all, belong to the young generation. All the above qualities and more the IPAC in Southwest has found in no other leader in Nigeria other than His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello.
This was discovered to be as a result of the Governor's irreversible stance against covid-19 vaccines among other negative indicators which the Governor has now been vindicated by the US ministry of health and most European countries. The IPAC as a body was amazed at how a governor could disowned his contemporaries in the Nigeria Governors Forum and stand by the common Nigerians asking other governors to stop playing politics with peoples lives in the name of Covid 19 and subsequently enriching some very few in power. It later came to Nigerians as a rude shock when the #ENDSARS looting of palliatives across the country confirmed the long time stand of Governor Yahaya Bello that the Covid 19 era was nothing but a means of massive looting and.embezzlement of public funds by our leaders. The revelation afterwards was devastating in the Southwest in which no leader in the region can be exonerated. They believe Nigeria must not miss such a people oriented leader at this trying time of our national live.
It was also learnt that the IPAC leadership has made a formal visitation to the governor led by the Chairman Southwest IPAC, Comrade Gentleman Arabambi Abayomi Oluwafemi and Secretary Prince Tolu Ajayi penultimate week back where a letter was delivered to the Governor at his palatial mansion in Abuja. This the source discovered to be a means of walking the talk by the IPAC leadership in theSouthwest as the body is absolutely committed to working for the success of Governor Yahaya Bello as president come 2023.
The reason behind this unprecedented endorsement was as a result of the Governor's youthfulness, productivity and his resolve and capability to move Nigeria to the promise land, believing in him as a symbol of hope for a new Nigeria. According to the highest political body in the country, Governor Yahaya Bello is the only leader in the country that has the potential and passion to change the abysmal leadership narrative in the country and thus require the support of everyone irrespective of region and tribe to attain the number one office in the country.
This coming event will definitely rejig the political landscape and alter the political permutations in the Southwest and Nigeria at large for the overall good and benefit of all, especially the average Nigerians whom have been the victim of bad leadership overtime. The source has vowed to keep Nigerians updated as event unfold noting that this development is unprecedented in the political history of the Southwest since return to democracy in 1999.
