DINO MELAYE: A COMIC PERSONALITY AND POLITICAL FAILURE THAT DESERVES NO ATTENTION FROM GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO - AFENIFERE FOR COLLECTIVE TRANSFORMATION

For anyone who has been following the so-called political career of Dino Melaye since the days of his comic and childish drama at the House of Representative and then the Senate, Dino Melaye's way of life won't be surprising to such individual anymore. This was part of the reactions expressed by the Director General of Afenifere For Collective Transformation, Prince Tolu Ajayi whom in a press release charged Nigerians to disregard any distraction from Dino Melaye towards the aspiration of Governor Yahaya Bello as president come 2023.

According to Prince Tolu Ajayi, Dino Melaye was a legislator who could not point at any meaningful project he embarked on either completed or uncompleted in his senatorial district throughout his four years as a senator. He has failed woefully to bring meaningful development and growth to his people in Kogi West Senatorial Distract leaving a vacuum of leadership in the senatorial district. He's four years as a senator was a waste and total disaster in term of quality representation to the people of Kogi west senatorial distract.

In his words, "we understand the pains and agony of Senator Dino Melaye over the success being recorded by Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi State on daily basis knowing fully well that he, Dino Melaye has nothing to show for his four years as a senator. He has shown himself as a symbolic leadership failure in which he believed he has no choice than to distract the focus, visionary and working governor of the state. He now realise that he's rejection by his people was because they discovered a quality and purposeful leadership in Governor Yahaya Bello, hence the reason for his personal bitterness against the people's governor. We understand his plight but quite too late for him as pull-him-down syndrome could not work against the governor anymore especially now that the people have come to experience good governance never experienced in Kogi State before now."

"As a legislator, Dino Melaye dedicated his precious time to displaying his ill gotten wealth and extravagant lifestyle on social media rather than focusing on the people's mandate given to him. Here was a legislator who could not deliver good leadership to his people thereby leaving legislative duties to suffer. A comic personality and political failure like Dino Melaye should not be given attention by a focus, visionary and committed leader not to talk of a serious and working one like Governor Yahaya Bello. This was why at a time, he was faced with the issue of recall by his senatorial district in which he used the funds for his constituency projects to buy his way out and stopped the process. In the end, he was unable to secure a second term when his people couldn't cope with his shenanigan anymore. That was what buried the political history of the comedian and failure called Dino Melaye".

In describing why Afenifere For Collective Transformation is passionate about the man Yahaya Bello, Prince Tolu Ajayi noted that Nigerians youths are not just proud of the fact that Governor Yahaya Bello belongs to the young generation alone but the fact that the governor is a great example of who a young Nigerian should be.

According to the DG Prince Tolu Ajayi, Governor Yahaya Bello is a young, vibrant, visionary, bold, courageous, people oriented and God fearing leader whose leadership style has proven to the old generation that the youths and young people of this country have what it takes to lead. He's a game changer who came in at a time Nigerian youths are almost completely screened out of political leadership. He reminds a generational liberator who has liberated the Young citizens of Nigeria and given the youths political liberty of exploring their ingenuity in leadership."

He noted that it was important for Nigerians to understand that Afenifere For Collective Transformation is a movement of young intelligent, brilliant and enlighten Nigerians from the Southwest in which the body understudy governance and leadership across the country. It was in the course of this assessment of what good governance entails that brought us to the unprecedented growth and development going on in Kogi State which was grossly being under-reported. He assured everyone that Afenifere For Collective Transformation would not leave any stone unturned in continuing to showcase the good work of Governor Yahaya Bello to all Nigerians until other governors follow his steps.

He said, "as a young leader, Governor Yahaya Bello has performed excellently well in the area of agriculture which cut across staple foods like rice with the largest rice mill in the north. His infrastructural drive is exemplary which cut across the three senatorial districts of the state thereby, not leaving a lopsided infrastructural development in Kogi State."

"It was his respect for gender equality, believe in young Nigerians and love for the physically challenged and vulnerable that led to the All Progressive Party leadership to honour and entrust him with the chairmanship of registration and revalidation exercise for youths, women and people with disabilities in the current registration and revalidation exercise of the party."

"Who among other state governors in the country can match the unprecedented ICT development drive being carried out in Kogi State by the governor for young people of the state. As the DG of Afenifere For Collective Transformation , I can go on and on to put the record straight on why a failure like Dino Melaye would never be happy with Governor Yahaya Bello."

Prince Tolu Ajayi further stated that many are now referring to Governor Yahaya Bello as the father of new and modern Kogi State. This he believed was because of the unprecedented growth and development the governor brought to Kogi State within four years of his administration which later earn him his second term in a landslide electoral victory against his opponents. These were reasons why Nigerian youths want a repeat of the good leadership being experienced in Kogi State across the country by having the governor as Nigeria's president come 2023.

Today, many youths and young Nigerians whom have been caught in one crime or the other are now cursing Dino Melaye for unknowingly luring them into crime through his negative and extravagant lifestyle. It is now a life of regret to those that look up to Dino Melaye as mentor as many of them are now being caught in crimes like arm robbery, kidnapping, money rituals, internet fraud and the likes just to meet up with their mentor's social media extravagant lifestyle of displaying ill gotten luxury and not educating them on the need for hard work and integrity.

On the part of Afenifere For Collective Transformation, the DG Prince Tolu Ajayi was proud to come public to showcase Governor Yahaya Bello as our mentor. In his words, "we are pleased to let the world know that Governor Yahaya Bello is our mentor in whom we are pleased. He's vision for Nigeria and the young generation is in line with what we have been preaching and advocating for since  2014 when Afenifere For Collective Transformation ACT was formed. While many are cursing Dino Melaye today as their mentor who have led them into crimes and criminality, we are here very proud of our mentor, Governor Yahaya Bello."

Afenifere For Collective Transformation is using this medium to call on all patriotic Nigerians to jettison any act of distraction or unpatriotic act from anyone especially Dino Melaye regarding Governor Yahaya Bello's 2023 presidential ambition. It was in line with this distraction that Dino Melaye was seen on his social media sites presenting petitions to the  Economic and Financial Crime Commission against Governor Yahaya Bello. If this is genuine and not based on political assassination of character, person and personality of Governor Yahaya Bello, why coming at this time that Nigerian youths have unanimously decided to work for the emergence of Governor Yahaya Bello as president come 2023?

This to us further proof the fact that no other candidate can boldly come out to campaign to the youths since many are already ashamed of their political antecedents. All they could think of is how they could cheaply discredit Governor Yahaya Bello which obviously cannot work. Dino Melaye and the agents he's working for should quickly accept the reality that Governor Yahaya Bello is a moving train which has long left is station. The earlier they all realise that Governor Yahaya Bello is unstoppable as regards 2023 presidential election the better.

The DG Prince Tolu Ajayi believes that 2023 presidential race is a divine mandate for Governor Yahaya Bello which shall be fulfilled Insha Allah. He also implore every right thinking individual whom might be nursing the same presidential ambition to set aside their selfish interest and join hands to work for the good and progress of the country by seeing to the emergence of Governor Yahaya Bello being the most suitable and qualify candidate for the 2023 presidential election. This has always been the position of Afenifere For Collective Transformation and we remain resolute and committed to this since Nigeria has no better candidate come 2023 other than Governor Yahaya Bello.
