Edo Election: Labour Party dismisses rumour of Akpata’s withdrawal

The Labour Party has denied claims that its gubernatorial candidate in Edo State, Olumide Akpata, has withdrawn from the race

A statement from the party described the rumors as “untrue and baseless,” blaming rival parties for spreading misinformation to confuse voters and undermine Akpata’s candidacy.

“Olumide Akpata remains fully committed to contesting the election and leading the charge for progress in Edo State,” the party affirmed
