President Buhari Bans 50 High Profile Persons From Leaving The Country

President Muhammadu Buhari, Saturday ordered security agencies to place high profile Nigerians who are directly affected by the Executive Order 6, under watch list. In a statement disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Mr. Gabar Shehu, President Buhari gave directives to the Nigeria Immigration Service to place embargo on those who are affected from travelling outside the country. The only official confirmation of the choice of Obi came from Mr. Ike Abonyi, the Media Adviser to the national chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus. Driver Gets Death Sentence For Killing FRSC Official

A state high court sitting in Birnin Kebbi has sentenced one Usman Aliyu, a reckless driver popularly referred to as 'Customer' to death, for knocking down an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). Aliyu was said to have knocked down Muhammed Babangida, a Road Marshal Assistant (RMA III) with the corps. At the time of the incident, Babangida was serving with the Kebbi State Sector Command of FRSC. He was killed while on official duty. A statement by Bisi Kazeem, the FRSC Public Education Officer, noted that the incident occurred along Ahmadu Bello way in the state Capital, Birnin Kebbi on April 3, 2017. According to Kazeem, Aliyu had driven a black Toyota Corolla saloon car with registration number KLG 342 AA, on the said day and initially attempted to knock down Marshal Inspector (III) Abubakar Garba Abubakar of the same patrol team, who escaped by a whisker. Bayelsa High Court Sentences Police Corporal To Death For Killing Teenager

A Bayelsa State High Court in Yenagoa, the state capital, has sentenced a policeman, Corporal Vincent Koluamawei, to death by hanging over the extra-judicial killing of Innocent Kokorifa, a 17-year-old boy. 17-year-old Innocent, first out of five children of Mr. Daniel Kokorifa, an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps, was shot dead by the convict along Air Force Road in Yenagoa, on August 18, 2016. Innocent was reportedly running an errand for his mother, Pere Kokorifa, when he was killed  by the police corporal who was among a police patrol team on the fateful day. Justice Ineikade Eradiri held that contrary to the position of the police, he was convinced that Innocent Kokorifa who was shot dead by a member of a police patrol team in Okaka area, was not armed at the time he was gruesomely murdered. The judge also said that there was no evidence that the gun allegedly recovered by the police after Kokorifa’s killing and a substance suspected to be marijuan...
