Nollywood Actress & Philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh was recently honoured with the Peace Ambassador Awards by the Niger-Delta Peace Ambassador Initiative an organisation, that promotes peace and integration. The actress received the award at the 2018 Edition of the annual Niger-Delta Peace for Development Youth Summit/ Niger Delta Ambassador Awards held at Presidential Hotel in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. She received the ‘Humanitarian Peace Ambassador Award'.

History was made in Ogun East Senatorial constituency of Ogun State on  the 27th of April, 2018 as Young politicians under Young Progressive Party gathered in their large numbers to declare with one voice that enough is enough. Hospitalised Dino Melaye has come on Twitter to thank his constituents for rejecting attempts to recall him from Senate. Melaye spoke from the National Hospital where he had been receiving treatment since Tuesday after he reportedly jumped out of a moving police vehicle and sustained injuries. “Thank you my people. God bless you all. Thank you for the confidence reposed on me. I will not let you down. I will always stand by the truth and the people at all times. God bless Kogi West,” Mr Melaye said on twitter. “Every lie has an expiry date. Forces of evil will never triumph over forces of light. God is with us,” he added. Recall earlier this morning, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared that the recall exercise they held on Saturday failed after people refused to come out to participate.

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly appointed Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo (SAN), as the Director, Strategic Communications for his 2019 presidential campaigns. By this appointment, Keyamo becomes the official spokesperson for Buhari’s campaign for the 2019 presidential poll.

Mike Tyson has revealed he has fresh doubts about the pedigree of Anthony Joshua after the Nigerian became the WBO, IBF and WBA (Super) champion. Joshua defeated Joseph Parker on points in his first 12-round fight as a pro, but the former knockout king failed to spark against the New Zealander. The 28-year-old won virtually every round against Parker, but his display was criticised by the likes of Tyson Fury, who claimed the unification fight was abysmal. And Tyson seems to think Joshua’s performance fell flat and admitted he was not so convinced by AJ’s credentials. ‘Joshua looked like he was the guy to [become undisputed champion] but in his last fight, he did not impress me,’ Tyson told Showtime.
